Biomechanics, structural mechanics, and hydrodynamics of vertebrates.
About me
I am a interested in the link between form, function, and evolution. My current focus is on the mechanics and evolution of fish armor. My research integrates micro-CT scanning, phylogenetics, experimental biomechanics, and hydrodynamic analysis to understand how bony armor plates affect flexibility, energy storage, and performance in armored fishes.
I am currently a PhD candidate in Dr. Adam Summers lab at Friday Harbor Laboratories and the University of Washington.
